Cost Optimization Analyst

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Cost Analyst to enhance our product development initiatives. The selected candidate will focus on implementing cost-saving strategies throughout the lifecycle of new product projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Magnetics, Mechanical, Electrical, and Procurement to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction.
- Develop and present comprehensive test plans to stakeholders, analyze results in conjunction with the data team, and execute the revised product designs.
- Leverage electrical or mechanical expertise to discover innovative products, tools, or software that can lead to significant cost efficiencies.
- Monitor and assess the performance of newly implemented products.
Work Environment:
The majority of this role will be conducted in an office environment (80-90%), with occasional responsibilities on the manufacturing floor (10-20%).
Compensation:
$90,000 - $120,000

Qualifications:
- Experience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems.
- Background in product development, testing, or cost improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles related to electrical and mechanical assemblies and their cost implications.
- Proficient in product design within the manufacturing, electrical, or magnetics sectors.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other relevant business applications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to convey technical data succinctly to non-technical audiences.
