Position Summary

Are you enthusiastic about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in educational environments? If so, the Director of Custodial Services position may be the ideal fit for you.

In this role, you will oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and security of designated facilities within a K-12 educational setting. You will coordinate the activities of janitorial staff in alignment with company standards to ensure client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage all janitorial operations, ensuring smooth workflow and exceptional service delivery.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to supervisors and team members, promoting their professional development and adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections, promptly addressing any concerns and implementing corrective measures to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and inventory control to ensure operational efficiency and timely task completion.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between facility occupants and janitorial staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks to the highest standards, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Facilitate cross-training and skill development among staff to enhance versatility and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor budgetary compliance, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and contributing to cost-effective practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • One to two years of supervisory experience in housekeeping or a service-oriented field with significant customer interaction.
  • Strong commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving abilities in both individual and group settings.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and profit and loss awareness.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience operating heavy cleaning equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
