Position Type: Regular Part-Time/Hourly

Compensation: $17.00/hour

Overview:

This role is essential for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities and grounds on a daily basis. The individual will also operate a Salvation Army vehicle to provide transportation for individuals to various activities or to carry out tasks on behalf of the organization.

Key Duties:
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization tasks to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Offer transportation services for members to and from the facility as needed, including driving a Salvation Army vehicle for organizational business and delivering items as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • AND
  • A minimum of six months of experience in general cleaning or custodial work; experience with vehicle operation and maintenance is preferred.
  • OR
  • A combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and meet the organization's Motor Vehicle Record requirements.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The role requires consistent attendance and the ability to read and communicate in English. The candidate must be capable of exerting the physical energy necessary for housekeeping and minor maintenance tasks, including continuous walking, bending, standing, and climbing. Work is conducted in a standard office setting with some exposure to outdoor conditions, dust, and various odors. Driving responsibilities may involve discomfort related to weather changes or traffic conditions.
