Job Summary

Liberty Senior Living is seeking an experienced Director of Resident Care Services to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of care and services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Administrator with the admissions process, including interviewing, assessing, and verifying resident information.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care.
  • Supervise and train staff on resident care policies and procedures, including Point Click Care.
  • Coordinate resident services with other professionals as ordered by the physician or as assessment and care plan dictate.
  • Implement and maintain infection control programs, train staff, and ensure compliance.
  • Order and maintain medical supplies, and ensure proper accounting for resident charges.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly assessments of residents, take vital signs, and administer IM injections as needed.
  • Communicate with families and update them on resident status, and contact them immediately in the event of a fall, sickness, or other incident.
  • Supervise and maintain records for staff, including TB screening and Hepatitis B vaccine.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures for fire, disaster, and resident incidents.
  • Conduct or arrange for training on Resident Rights, Infection Control, OSHA Safety, Back Safety, Needle Stick Safety, and Dementia.
  • Perform scheduling for staff using Workforce Management, and assume on-call responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • Qualified as Administrator-in-Charge or Supervisor-in-Charge based on Assisted Living Rules and Regulations.
  • Experience working with geriatric and dementia residents.
  • 21 years of age or older, with a valid and clean driver's license.
  • Willingness to care for geriatric patients and demonstrate a genuine concern for their welfare.
  • Ability to delegate, supervise, receive, understand, and follow orders.
  • Willingness to work and cooperate well with other nursing staff, departments, and families and visitors.
  • Kind and respectful to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ability to use equipment safely and economically, and maintain neat appearance, dress code, and good personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of personnel, department, and Community policies and procedures.
  • Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required, and completion of online training.
