Key Responsibilities:

  • Admissions and Assessments: Assist the Administrator with the admissions process, including interviewing, assessing, and verifying resident information.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medications, including ordering and maintaining medical supplies.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff on resident care policies and procedures, including Point Click Care.
  • Communication: Coordinate with families and update them on resident status, as well as communicate with other professionals as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain infection control programs, conduct regular assessments, and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform scheduling, on-call responsibilities, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: Experience working with geriatric and dementia residents.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a genuine concern for resident welfare.
  • Certifications: Qualified as Administrator-in-Charge or Supervisor-in-Charge based on Assisted Living Rules and Regulations.
