Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Educational Service District 112. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing behavioral support to students with significant developmental delays.

Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician will work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and conduct assessments. This is a full-time position that will serve Florens Academy, a new program designed to provide instructional, behavioral, and social/emotional support to aggressive adolescent-aged youth.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the IEP team
  • Collect data and conduct assessments
  • Work under the direction of a BCBA to ensure effective implementation of behavior plans
  • Provide behavioral support to students with significant developmental delays
  • Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher to implement lesson plans and provide one-on-one and small group instruction
  • Communicate with parents and staff as instructed by the Special Education Teacher
  • Implement positive behavior intervention systems and manage crisis intervention
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hold or obtain a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 60 days of employment
  • Experience working with students with behavior or mental health issues
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
  • Training and/or experience in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques
  • Training and/or experience in implementation of positive behavior supports
  • Training and/or experience in Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Training in functional behavior analysis
Working Conditions:

This position will be based in a classroom setting and may require moving from classroom to classroom to provide services. The Registered Behavior Technician will be required to provide assistance and attend to the physical needs of students, including moving and positioning students and assisting with personal hygiene needs.
