As a Customer Service Associate in our Healthy Living Department, you will ensure that the department is well-stocked and maintained while delivering exceptional customer service.

What will you be doing?

Customer Service / Sales Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service
  • Address customer inquiries regarding products and assist with selections; guide customers in locating store merchandise
  • Effectively merchandise products
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to fulfill customer needs and enhance department sales
  • Prepare work schedules for the department
  • Provide direction and training to department Partners

Stocking Responsibilities:

  • Stock and rotate items as necessary
  • Assist with inventory management; load, unload, and move products
  • Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming shipments
  • Arrange merchandise on pallets to present the department attractively to customers
  • Ensure the accuracy of shelf tags and signage in the department; may create or prepare signage as needed
  • Maintain standards in shrink, safety, inventory management, and sanitation
  • Inspect shipments for expired and damaged products to guarantee freshness and quality
  • Build, stock, maintain, and dismantle store displays
What is your background?

  • Minimum age of 18 (required)
  • 1+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
  • Completion of Basics of Safety training

  • Knowledge of natural foods, vitamins, minerals, macrobiotics, herbs, sports nutrition, organics, homeopathy, and aromatherapy
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Proficient merchandising and selling skills
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects/tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Capacity to train Partners

  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, performing detailed and precise tasks
  • Address customer complaints professionally and courteously
  • Constantly reach at waist level, grasp items
  • Frequently stand and walk
  • Occasionally reach overhead, at shoulder level, at knee level, at floor level, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and perform fine motor movements
  • Occasionally be exposed to loud noises, varying temperatures, and wet conditions
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 15 lbs and manage items exceeding 15 lbs

It is the responsibility of Partners to never lift beyond their own safe lifting capacity.
If an item is too heavy to lift, push, pull, or carry, the Partner must break the box down into lighter, smaller, more manageable components, or seek assistance from another Partner or a manager.
