Position Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Associate, you will oversee all financial interactions within the establishment by processing orders and handling transactions. You will act as a bridge between customers, management, and kitchen staff, ensuring the front area remains tidy and well-stocked.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers courteously upon their arrival, whether in-store, on the phone, or via drive-through.
- Accurately document customer orders at the counter, over the phone, and at the drive-through.
- Utilize the Pulse system to manage order processing effectively.
- Monitor prepared orders and guarantee their timely delivery to customers.
- Assist in completing orders, ensuring all items and extras are included.
- Promote in-store specials when appropriate.
- Handle cash transactions and provide accurate change.
- Process credit and debit card payments.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Use a drop box to keep cash in the register below a specified amount.
- Address and resolve customer feedback, inquiries, and suggestions.
- Ensure the front counter is stocked, organized, and clean.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the box stocking area.
- Regularly clean dining areas by wiping tables, sweeping floors, and disposing of trash.
- Perform floor maintenance as needed, including mopping after closing.
- Clean windows and doors to remove smudges and dirt.
- Restock dining area supplies such as napkins, straws, and condiments.
- Regularly clean soda machines during shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness in public and employee restrooms throughout the shift.
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work with numbers accurately.
- Possession of a Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate is required.
- Capability to follow instructions and meet objectives.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adhere to a schedule, arrive on time, wear the appropriate uniform, and work efficiently.
- Effective communication skills with diverse clientele.
Education and Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory. Relevant training will be provided on the job to familiarize candidates with the specific functions of the role, including operating the computer system and understanding menu items. Previous sales experience is beneficial. Customer service experience is also helpful for greeting customers, addressing inquiries, and managing complaints, though it is not a strict requirement.
