Job Title: Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team at Maverick Helicopters. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions
  • Update receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
  • Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
  • Resolve invalid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
  • Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, coordinating contact with collections department
  • Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable department, verifying totals, preparing reports
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in education opportunities
  • Achieve accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. College or University degree preferred or years of service equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Teams, Great Plains, Outlook
