Key Responsibilities:

The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in overseeing the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions, ensuring that our resort maintains exceptional guest service and financial success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Adhering to established audit protocols to reconcile daily revenue and expense transactions, swiftly identifying discrepancies, generating reports for management, and proactively addressing errors to prevent future occurrences.
  • Verifying that all charges are accurately recorded to the respective guest folio or master account, ensuring alignment with all necessary documentation.
  • Reconciling all charges with the general ledger, preparing backup files, and closing out shifts and daily operations in the reservation system, while setting up for the next business day.
  • Producing housekeeping reports and managing folio departures.
  • Compiling and organizing daily revenue reports.
  • Ensuring precise management of cash funds and daily shift deposits.
  • Assisting with Front Office responsibilities and serving as the overnight guest service representative.
  • Calculating month-end account balances and submitting them to the accounting department.
  • Processing reservation advance deposits from the point of reservation to the logging and depositing of all funds.
  • Performing all front desk functions, including check-in, check-out, and cashier duties efficiently.
  • Addressing guest and owner inquiries and requests, consistently delivering exceptional hospitality.
  • Supporting other departmental tasks such as bell stand duties and phone inquiries.
  • Reporting unresolved issues with guests and owners to management.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and providing information on local attractions and resort amenities.
  • Assisting with various departmental tasks as assigned by management, responding to guest requests to ensure satisfaction, and collaborating effectively with team members.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience necessary.

It would be advantageous to have:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
