Job Summary

The Staff RN - Ambulatory Services works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform/direct ACLS
  • Independent rhythm interpretation and defibrillation
  • Administration of advanced lifesaving medications
  • Independent, templated (RN-only) visits for patient assessment, with action taken based on established protocols and/or clinical practice standards using clinical judgement to determine intervention timing/specifics.
  • Sedation
  • Telemetry monitoring & interpretation/management of rhythm changes
  • Assisting with complex procedures - (RN doing care / work on patient, or RN has role in treatment / procedure, etc.)
  • Advanced wound therapy (VACs, debridement, etc.)
  • Central line management (TPA administration) and maintenance (dressing / cap changes, access / flushing)
  • Device interrogation and interpretation with resultant action
  • Complex infusions (concurrent infusions, hazardous medication administration, blood and blood products, etc.)
Requirements
  • Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment.
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
  • Nursing licensure required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
