Job Summary

The Athletic Director will oversee the development and implementation of the school's athletic program, ensuring compliance with FHSAA rules and regulations. This position will be responsible for coordinating athletic events, supervising equipment and facilities, and providing support to coaches and athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the school's athletic program, including scheduling, budgeting, and personnel management.
  • Coordinate athletic events, including home and away games, meets, and contests.
  • Supervise equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet FHSAA standards.
  • Provide support to coaches and athletes, including training, guidance, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with FHSAA rules and regulations, including eligibility, conduct, and safety standards.
  • Manage budgets and finances, including equipment, supplies, and travel expenses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, athletic associations, and community organizations.
  • Recruit and hire coaches, officials, and other staff as needed.
  • Coordinate with the school administration to ensure alignment with school goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, sports management, or a related field.
  • Florida certification in the subject area required.
  • Experience in athletic administration, coaching, or a related field.
