The Microsoft Federal division was created to meet the distinct mission, legal, and regulatory requirements of the United States Government (USG). We are dedicated to ensuring that our resources, including qualified, experienced, and certified personnel with the necessary security clearances, are available to address the evolving needs of the USG. Microsoft Federal embraces flexibility in recruiting, hiring, and assigning personnel to meet these needs across various segments, including Civilian, Defense, and the intelligence community.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related discipline AND a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a relevant business area
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Must possess DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification or higher, or be able to obtain it within the first 60 days of employment.

Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate must hold an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Meeting Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is mandatory for this role. Failure to maintain or secure the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening may lead to employment consequences.

Clearance Verification: This role necessitates successful verification of the stated security clearance to comply with federal government customer requirements. Clearance verification information will be requested prior to extending an employment offer.

Cloud Screening: Candidates must successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening, which will be conducted bi-annually.

Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions. It supports federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to specific citizenship-based restrictions as required by law. Citizenship will be verified through a valid passport or other approved documentation, or verified U.S. government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certifications relevant to the domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics).

Compensation: The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 annually. Different ranges apply to specific work locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Articulate value propositions for strategic Microsoft products and services, utilizing business, technology, and industry strategies to define customer and partner requirements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in specific solutions or multiple products, driving opportunities to enhance the adoption of Microsoft Cloud.
  • Support innovation with a focus on industry solutions and customer business outcomes on the Microsoft platform.
  • Ensure solutions align with architectural intent, providing clear build test specifications and operational guides for customers.
  • Identify business and technical risks in programs, assess their impact, and propose mitigations and contingencies.
  • Assist stakeholders throughout deployment to prevent or resolve technical issues.
  • Balance Configure-Before-Customize principles with the goal of maximizing customer and partner value, utilizing Microsoft core assets, products, and tools.
  • Design scalable and resilient Azure network architectures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure networking.
  • Implement network security measures in Azure.
  • Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks.
  • Understand Azure networking concepts, including Terraform, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Engage in mission landing zones and low-code/no-code deployments.
