Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing menus for residents
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels and ordering of food and supplies
- Monitor and control labor costs, linen costs, and miscellaneous food and beverage expenses
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and train culinary staff
- Assign cleaning schedules and maintain a clean work environment
- Customer Service
- Ensure excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Handle customer complaints and feedback
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding residents' rights and food safety
- Education and Experience
- Minimum of a two-year degree in culinary arts or related field
- At least one year of prior experience in a food service department
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures

The Sous Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
