Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving sales and revenue growth for Spectrum. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate sales leads through prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Develop and implement a Territory Plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, and billing forms.
  • Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Customer Service department.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
