Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team at Randstad Professional Recruiting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for diesel engines and a strong background in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough diagnostics and troubleshoot complex diesel engine issues, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on heavy duty vehicles, including oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and other essential tasks.
  • Inspect and test mechanical components, including fuel systems, exhaust systems, and air-conditioning systems.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, parts replaced, and maintenance schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to address repair needs and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, electronic testing equipment, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Assist with other maintenance-related tasks as needed, such as coordinating with parts suppliers and assisting with fleet inspections.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications in diesel mechanics preferred).
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, electrical and mechanical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred, but not required).

Estimated Salary:$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
