Job Description

As a Heavy Duty Equipment Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. Your duties will include:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical issues with diesel equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan
  • Documenting repairs and maintenance activities accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless operations and high-quality results
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Class-A CDL license
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience as a heavy duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling and overtime as needed

This position requires the ability to lift up to 120-150 pounds, push/pull transmissions, tires, and clutches, climb ladders, balance on lift gates, stoop/squat frequently, bend, reach above shoulder occasionally, grasp objects frequently, manipulate objects frequently, twist occasionally, and sit, stand, walk, drive, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
