We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc.
About the JobThis role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance and handling road service calls. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class-A CDL license, extensive hands-on experience with heavy-duty mechanics, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs
- Handle road service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of repair orders, parts inventory, and vehicle history
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid Class-A CDL license
- At least 7 years of experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
