Job Title: Financial Associate

Quantech Services is seeking a highly skilled Financial Associate to join our team. As a Financial Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply knowledge of financial management and accounting functions to gather, analyze, and present information to program managers and customers.
  • Prepare program budgets, reports, and financial documentation, and provide recommendations to improve financial management effectiveness.
  • Perform budget forecasting, variance identification, and analysis, and provide recommendations to the program office on budget, schedule, and earned value management.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies and take corrective actions.
  • Use automated management information systems to perform fact-finding, analytical, and advisory functions.
  • Compile financial material from various sources to support financial metrics, audits, and reporting.
  • Advise on program-specific funds management documentation and assist in executing automated models and control techniques.
  • Prepare financial papers, briefings, and inputs for various events, such as budget execution reviews and program management reviews.
  • Draft financial data documentation for submission to the Government financial lead/analyst.
  • Provide status of approved, deferred, and released funds, and identify and correct posting errors in financial records.
  • Draft funding documents, such as purchase requests and project orders, and maintain an independent audit trail.
  • Generate and deliver quick-turnaround what-if funding drill assessments and provide data retrieval and analysis for ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Support AF or DoD exercises and simulations, and monitor, report, and maintain reimbursable budget programs.
  • Perform research and analysis for accounting-related issues using online query systems and tools.
  • Maintain the financial database, input financial and contracting data, and extract ad-hoc reports.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting concepts, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition requirements, development, and approval processes.
  • Knowledge of DoD contracting types, contract structure, and funding clauses.
  • Skill in formulating, justifying, and analyzing financial requirements of an acquisition or sustainment program.
  • Ability to communicate, plan, and organize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in teams under short deadlines.
  • Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data using financial systems to prepare budget estimates and make recommendations.
  • FM support may also be required for security assistance projects, such as Foreign Military Sales.
  • Personnel supporting this requirement must have and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • BA/BS and 10 years of experience in the respective discipline, with 3 years in DoD.

Salary information is commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as business and market considerations. Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000.

Security clearance required: SECRET.

Travel: 0-10%.
