Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and innovative Executive Kitchen Leader to join our esteemed culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the second-in-command in our kitchen, ensuring adherence to the executive chef's standards and directives. The ideal candidate will be a creative culinary professional eager to contribute to the development of enticing seasonal menus and meal presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new menu offerings in response to seasonal changes and customer preferences.
- Assist in the preparation and conceptualization of meal presentations.
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets service timelines.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns directly.
- Oversee inventory management and order supplies as needed.
- Support junior kitchen staff with various tasks, including cooking, food prep, and plating.
- Recruit and train new kitchen personnel to uphold our restaurant's standards.
- Create work schedules for kitchen staff and assess their performance.
- Comply with and enforce sanitation and safety regulations.
- Lead the kitchen team in the absence of the executive chef.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar culinary leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in MS Office and restaurant management software.
- Team-oriented with exceptional leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
