Position Overview

The Baylor College of Medicine is in search of an Instructor within the Department of School Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical school personnel, including deans, directors, faculty, and administrative staff, to design and implement comprehensive and innovative evaluation strategies for a developing medical school curriculum.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and manage quantitative data to support program evaluations, performance assessments, educational research, and accreditation efforts.
  • Assist in the scoring and summarization of performance metrics for longitudinal assessment initiatives in a competency-based medical education framework.
  • Create and deliver tailored reports to facilitate various levels of curriculum review and accreditation processes.
  • Offer expert guidance to faculty, students, and staff regarding routine and complex statistical inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate data analysis results to stakeholders, including medical school leadership and committees.
  • Participate in qualitative analysis tasks, including the examination of text-based student survey data to uncover and report on key themes for course enhancement.
  • Support the EAR division's objectives, which may include proctoring examinations, attending departmental meetings, and fulfilling additional assigned responsibilities.
  • Analyze diverse data sets related to medical education research initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Division of Evaluation, Assessment, & Education Research to enhance program evaluation and learning assessment services for various stakeholders.
