Position Overview:

Role Responsibilities:
In the capacity of a Service Component Command EOD Planner, you will leverage your leadership and subject matter expertise to collaborate with industry thought leaders on initiatives within the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility. Your role will involve providing strategic input on Army and Joint explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), counter-improvised explosive device (C-IED) operations, and related policies and programs.

You will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), boards, cells, and working groups.
  • Responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and contributing to the formulation of policies and processes.
  • Supporting security cooperation capacity-building events and organizational assessments.
  • Contributing to the synchronization of efforts across multiple functional areas within a matrix organization.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for senior military stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Joint Planning.
  • At least 4 years of operational planning experience at the Division, Corps, Theater, Combatant Command, or Joint Staff level.
  • Familiarity with Theater Campaign Plans and National level Strategic guidance.
  • In-depth knowledge of EOD and C-IED operational plans and policies.
  • The capability to transition planning efforts from concept to execution, including senior-level briefings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
  • A Top Secret security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Graduation from Explosive Ordinance Disposal School.

Preferred Qualifications:
It would be advantageous to have:

  • 4+ years of experience addressing challenges specific to the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility.
  • Experience with Weapons Technical Intelligence related to INDOPACOM policies.
  • Familiarity with Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA).
  • Experience in collaborative problem-solving both individually and within teams.
  • Expertise in facilitating diverse working groups and meetings.
  • Knowledge of the US Army Protection Warfighting Function and Multi-Domain Operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for senior leadership presentations.
  • Completion of Military Education Level 4 Qualification Course or equivalent.
