Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. As a key member of our Commissioning Engineer team, you will be responsible for performing final testing, startup, and commissioning of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating and reviewing electrical deliverables
  • Prepare and review simple electrical sketches, CX plans, and data sheets
  • Perform simple routine electrical calculations
  • Assist in reviewing supplier documentation for compliance with specifications
  • Utilize the electrical engineering website to access department guides and standards
  • Basic knowledge of Commissioning, inspection, and Testing of electrical components and systems
  • Knowledge of basic electrical engineering theories
  • Basic power system familiarity with switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, power panels, protection relays, UPS systems, power monitoring systems, test equipment, etc.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience with a High School diploma or equivalent OR 8-10 years of experience with an Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of advanced mathematics and industry codes and standards
  • Ability to travel to customer sites periodically
