Planate Management Group is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Accra, Ghana. As an Electrical Engineer, you will support the renovation and expansion of the USAID Mission in Accra, Ghana, providing comprehensive engineering and construction quality assurance, and technical oversight for the USAID Accra Densification Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical inspections of electrical work, ensuring compliance with design documents and specifications.
  • Monitor the contractor's quality control program and review engineering shop drawings.
  • Observe onsite construction to ensure proper installation and execution of electrical systems.
  • Review contractor submittals, assess compliance with contract requirements, and address Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Support the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in construction projects of similar scope and dollar value.
  • Overseas experience preferred.
  • Fire alarm and Mechanical System experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Final Secret, Interim Top Secret, or Final Top Secret clearance issued by the Defense Counter Intelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
Work Environment

The position will be primarily on-site at the USAID Mission in Accra, Ghana, located at No. 24, Fourth Circular Road, Cantonments.

Travel Requirement

Travel may be required; specific travel needs will be identified and funded as necessary.
