Job Title: Associate Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including building services and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Produce detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, and written reports.
  • Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
  • Manage the workload of project discipline engineers and technicians.
  • Take responsibility for concept and preliminary engineering solutions.
  • Prepare technical specifications.
  • Monitor financial performance of jobs.
  • Keep senior staff informed of important decisions and objectives.
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers.
  • Ensure practices, policies, and services represent the client's best interests.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design in the building services and construction industry.
  • Experience working on projects in sectors such as higher education, museums, commercial, transportation hubs, and/or stadiums.
  • Relevant bachelor's or master's degree.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) desirable.
  • LEED AP accredited preferred.
  • Experience using Revit.
  • Familiarity with computational analysis tools.
  • Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility and work independently.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
