Project Engineer II

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer II to join our team at NEOTech. This is an onsite position based in Fremont, CA.
About the Role: As a Project Engineer II, you will be responsible for developing robust processes based on customer requirements. You will work with other engineering specialties to coordinate additional requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
- Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on component moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
- Evaluate and solve problems as they occur.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Oversee / monitor operations to assure quality (QMS/OCuity review for process improvements).
- Review proposals regarding acquisition of process equipment.
- Participate as an active member of the Customer Focus Team.
- Validate customer documentation and proper load into ERP.
- Develop and implement production processes - generate MPI documentation.
- Develop and implement process controls IAW Quality Standards.
- Generate and validate product MPI.
- Utilize systemic approach for yield improvement, improves manufacturing and test processes.
- Integrate ECO requirements into product/process documents.
- Provide technical solutions to customer and manufacturing team.
- Responsible for ensuring Labor/Takt time standards.
- Provide quotations for ECO implementation, paid rework, design revisions.
- Responsible for interpreting DFM/DFA results to the customer and interacting on opportunities and improvements.
- Coordinate NPI production activities and works with manufacturing for defining the process requirements.
- Responsible for development of manufacturing tooling, profiles, necessary programs/software for execution in the factory.
- Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEOTech's various Quality Management Systems.
- Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
- 5 years' hands on experience in electronics assembly industry.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
