Job Summary:

As a Software Engineer II at Sierra Nevada Corporation, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of embedded software for small form factor security devices and network real-time embedded systems. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing software development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirement analysis, design, development, documentation, integration, and testing of software programming (MPSoC, OS, microcontroller, etc.).
  • Generate software requirements, high-level and detail design, implementation, unit testing, integration, testing, and debugging.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline.
  • Typically 2 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral.
  • Experience using development/debug tools, such as Visual Studio, JTAG Ice, GNU Debugger.
