Position Summary:

The Logistics Operations Manager at Global Healing is responsible for overseeing a dedicated team, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), fostering cross-training initiatives, and managing workflow efficiency. A primary focus will be on the daily operations within our fulfillment center. In this role, you will ensure that all order fulfillment processes, including inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping logistics, are executed with precision and efficiency. Your objective will be to guarantee that orders are processed, packaged, and dispatched accurately and promptly, while also striving for cost-effectiveness. You will spearhead initiatives aimed at achieving team objectives, enhancing operational processes, optimizing warehouse functionality, and implementing strategies to improve cost efficiency. Additionally, you will coordinate delivery schedules with external logistics partners to facilitate seamless distribution. The Logistics Operations Manager will also be responsible for innovating new services or enhancements, while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and fulfillment operations by initiating, coordinating, and monitoring standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure timely completion, loading, and shipping of all orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage kit program preparation and fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) shipping schedules.
  • Report relevant KPIs to company leadership and propose improvements based on data analysis.
  • Develop and continuously refine SOPs for order fulfillment to align with operational goals.
  • Schedule and maintain adequate shift coverage for all team members.
  • Mentor, support, and inspire both new and existing team members.
  • Oversee month-end physical inventory processes on-site.
  • Address escalated customer issues or carrier disputes to maintain positive relationships.
  • Manage return merchandise authorization (RMA) processes and monitor inventory shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding warehousing and shipping.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and maintain detailed records.
  • Adhere to loss prevention and inventory control protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and procedures.
  • Review carrier agreements quarterly to optimize shipping costs and efficiency.
  • Maintain effective communication with department managers regarding workflow impacts.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
  • Achieve financial targets by forecasting, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Foster internal relationships with suppliers to meet or exceed revenue targets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing or walking for extended periods, up to 10 hours.
  • Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach in various directions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse or fulfillment management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Knowledge of the natural health industry is preferred.
  • Commitment to healthy living practices.
  • Training and certification in cGMP, Forklift operation, OSHA standards, and Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
