Position: Security Police Officer at Chenega Corporation

The role of the Security Police Officer encompasses the provision of immediate response to emergencies, enforcement of applicable laws, and the execution of patrols and inspections to ensure safety and security. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of facilities and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in Guard Mount activities, receive designated posts, and adhere to any supplementary directives.
  • Implement both general and specific orders relevant to the assigned post.
  • Utilize communication tools such as radios and telephones as instructed.
  • Facilitate interactions and escort duties for both public and governmental personnel.
  • Oversee access control, manage traffic, and perform armed security operations.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the assigned uniform and equipment.
  • Comply with established operating procedures and regulations pertaining to security.
  • Conduct a variety of security inspections and checks.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Remain available for emergency response during significant events or crises.
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Preferred candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of military or law enforcement experience.
  • NBTS certification is required prior to taking on an armed position.
  • ICS-100 and ICS-200 certifications must be obtained before appointment.
  • IS-700 and IS-800 certifications are necessary.
  • First Aid/CPR or BLS certification is required.
  • Emergency Medical Responder certification is needed for Patrol Officer roles.
  • Honorably discharged status is preferred, if applicable.
  • Completion of basic law enforcement or security training is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license must be held and maintained.
  • Ability to secure a DoD security clearance is essential (not mandatory at the start).
