Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead supplier engagement programs for assigned supplier categories or regions, working closely with Procurement & Global Operations Teams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand and document business processes, requirements, and challenges that specifically impact supplier performance and relationships.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers, interfacing with executives and project teams globally at Microsoft and across the supplier's leadership chain.
  • Conduct and analyze internal assessments to evaluate supplier business performance and trends, and external assessments to gather supplier feedback.
  • Establish Supplier Escalation procedures and frameworks with clearly defined escalation paths to ensure the right people are involved at the right time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in managing supplier performance and relationships within Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and/or Supplier Governance, in technology or heavy industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • 8+ years of experience in effectively communicating complex business and technical information, both verbally and in writing, to internal leadership and supplier executives, with a focus on creating clarity and promoting alignment.
  • 6+ years of people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in leading large cross-functional teams in project/program management and/or Kaizen facilitation, focusing on business operations and technology process improvements.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing data analytics, business metrics, and evaluation systems such as scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier performance and continuous improvement.
  • 2+ years of experience in the datacenter domain with knowledge of data center infrastructure, construction and equipment (e.g. Electrical Distribution, Mechanical Cooling Systems).
