About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Associate to join our team at Wpp Group. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for implementing media negotiations and buying/activation for assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Media Planning and Buying: Integrate with our strategic planning team to gain insights on objectives, KPIs, strategies, audiences, etc. to ensure tactical buys deliver against goals.
  2. RFP Process and Vendor Selection: Participate in the RFP process and vendor selection to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  3. Negotiations and Rate Tracking: Implement negotiations, rate tracking, planning, costs/benchmarking/budget management, and management of commercial inventory allocation and make-goods for assigned account(s).
  4. Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relations, including inventory avails, IOs, and notifications regarding included/excluded buys.
  5. Junior Staff Support: Assist junior staff with entering partner buys into buy platforms, sending out IO/Contracts, and preparing campaigns for launches (trafficking, setting up ad serving, etc.).
  6. Campaign Management: Ensure all buys are entered correctly into systems (naming conventions, budgets, placements, compliance, updates, etc.), and ensure that campaign launches and delivery/pacing are occurring.
  7. Marketplace Innovation: Keep current on partner and marketplace innovations, ad models, and technologies.
  8. Client Communication: Proactively follow up on client team requests with a key awareness of client deadlines.
  9. Documentation and Analysis: Ensure the documentation of all negotiations, make-goods, and credits, and analyze by performance, i.e. post buys, and positioning reports.
  10. Monthly Billing: Manage monthly billing.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.
  2. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with media, technology, analytics, and GroupM teams as well as media and technology publishers.
  3. Team Collaboration: Foster camaraderie within the investment team and with all key stakeholders they support.
  4. Media Education: Educate media teams on the investment process.
  5. Team Guidance: Provide guidance to team members and nurture/promote a team environment.
  6. Experience: 1+ years of prior digital or video investment experience desired.
  7. Teamwork and Independence: Be capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently.
  8. Research Tools: Strong understanding of interactive research tools.
  9. Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical/results-oriented skills.
  10. Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel with intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
  11. Research and Buying Tools: Strong understanding of interactive research and buying tools.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $45,000 to $90,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
