We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Associate to join our team at GroupM. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for implementing media negotiations and buying/activation for assigned accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Media Planning and Buying: Integrate with the Strategic Planning team to gain insights on objectives, KPIs, strategies, audiences, etc. to ensure tactical buys deliver against goals.
- RFP Process and Vendor Selection: Participate in the RFP process and vendor selection to ensure the best possible media buys for our clients.
- Negotiations and Rate Tracking: Implement negotiations/rate tracking/planning, costs, benchmarking, budget management, management of commercial inventory allocation and make-goods for assigned account(s).
- Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relations (Inventory avails, IOs, notify if included/excluded from buy).
- Junior Staff Support: Assist junior staff with entering the partner buys into Buy platforms, sending out IO/Contracts and preparing campaign for launches (trafficking, setting up ad serving, etc.).
- System Management: Ensure all buys are entered correctly into systems (naming conventions, budgets, placements, compliance, updates, etc.), and ensure that campaign launches and delivery/pacing are occurring.
- Market Research: Keep current on partner and marketplace innovations, ad models, and technologies.
- Client Communication: Proactively follow up on client team requests with a key awareness of client deadlines.
- Documentation and Analysis: Ensure the documentation of all negotiations, make-goods and credits and analyze by performance, i.e. post buys, and positioning reports.
- Monthly Billing: Manage monthly billing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with media, technology, analytics and GroupM teams as well as media and technology publishers.
- Team Collaboration: Foster camaraderie within the Investment team and with all key stakeholders they support.
- Media Education: Educate media teams on the investment process.
- Leadership: Provide guidance to team members and nurture/promote team environment.
- Experience: 1+ years of prior digital or video investment experience desired.
- Teamwork and Independence: Be capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently.
- Research Skills: Strong understanding of interactive research tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical/results-oriented skills.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel with intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.
- Research and Buying Tools: Strong understanding of interactive research and buying tools.
