Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for career advancement within a dynamic sector. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our local branch, emphasizing the importance of building strong relationships and leading a knowledgeable team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team comprising DOT CDL Drivers, Administrative Support, Material Handlers, and Sales Associates within a designated area.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all associates and visitors.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employment, safety, and DOT standards.
  • Manage the distribution center to provide exceptional customer service while controlling logistics and operational costs.
  • Guarantee accurate, timely, and safe order fulfillment.
  • Utilize productivity metrics to enhance material handling and delivery operations.
  • Manage labor expenses and conduct inventory assessments in line with accounting protocols.
  • Lead and develop a team of material handlers and drivers, fostering a culture of accountability and performance improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive sales growth and ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Promote existing products and identify new opportunities to enhance sales and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • Proven supervisory experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on communication and employee engagement.
  • Ability to mentor and guide a team in a structured operational setting.
  • Experience in process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with branch operations and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant technologies.
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level and a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
