Your Role at SAM:


The Senior Geospatial Project Leader will oversee a team and manage all facets of aerial mapping initiatives from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight and Coordination:
Formulate and oversee proposals, project timelines, budgets, billing, and contracts for aerial mapping initiatives.

Organize resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project objectives are achieved.

Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate them as necessary.

Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any issues.

Team Management:
Inspire and lead a team of aerial mapping project managers, technicians, and support personnel.


Offer guidance and support to team members, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment to ensure the department's long-term growth.

Conduct performance assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance team members' professional development.

Quality Control:
Ensure that aerial mapping data adheres to quality standards and specifications.

Implement quality assurance measures throughout the project lifecycle to minimize errors and discrepancies.

Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, permits, and safety protocols.

Conduct risk evaluations and implement safety measures to prevent accidents or injuries during aerial mapping operations.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in aerial mapping technology and methodologies.

Engage in business development for Geospatial opportunities and maintain robust client relationships.

Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and other key stakeholders.

Effectively collaborate with sub-consultants and other business partners associated with Geospatial Services.

Provide Geospatial support to other operational units as required.

Support corporate strategic initiatives.

Represent the company at meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

In-depth knowledge of Photogrammetry and LIDAR mapping.

Familiarity with CADD, GIS, and other relevant mapping tools and technologies is preferred.

Ability to meet fixed deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Photogrammetry, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Photogrammetry and Aerial LiDAR.
