Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is in search of a Geospatial Technician to become part of our dynamic team.

This role will support Professional Surveyors in various tasks including CAD production, survey analysis, boundary evaluations, exhibit creation, legal documentation preparation, and survey calculations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey analysis, boundary evaluations, exhibit creation, legal documentation preparation, and survey calculations.
  • Processing raw field data utilizing Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D software.
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control checks.
  • Collaborating with field crews and other office personnel.
  • Ensuring adherence to division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices within the survey services.
  • Leading by example – demonstrating sound judgment, integrity, trustworthiness, transparency, and professionalism.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent listening, writing, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with ALTA surveys, boundary evaluations, topographic surveys, exhibit preparation, legal documentation, and field crew preparation.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD Civil 3D for production tasks.
  • Capability to manage multiple responsibilities, assist in project coordination, and engage with other design services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • SIT or CST Certification or the potential to become a licensed Professional Surveyor.
  • Experience in drafting projects related to Wind, Solar, and Power Delivery.
  • Coordination of activities with office staff, including surveying technicians and engineering personnel.
