Role Summary

As a Sales Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to create meaningful connections with every customer who visits a melin store. Your focus will be on prioritizing the customer experience and fostering lasting relationships with both the clientele and the melin brand. You will oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing cash flow, and ensuring daily revenue accountability. Additional responsibilities include executing operational tasks, supervising cashiers, delivering exceptional customer service, securing the store, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Upon successful completion of six months of employment and satisfactory performance evaluations, you will be eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus, which will be processed through payroll and subject to applicable taxes. Your eligibility for this bonus may also depend on meeting certain work hour requirements or attendance policies set by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with new customers to establish immediate and enduring rapport, delivering a personalized customer experience through exceptional hospitality.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to address client inquiries and concerns; maintain awareness of competitive offerings and the unique value melin provides.
  • Exhibit a consistently positive, energetic, and sales-driven attitude towards customers and team members.
  • Implement training and strategies to ensure the highest quality guest experience in-store.
  • Assist with inventory management, operational tasks, and daily maintenance as directed by store management.
  • Independently resolve customer issues while maintaining professionalism, even in challenging situations; collaborate with leadership to relay customer feedback effectively.
  • Ensure the retail space is always clean and visually appealing, adhering to store standards and concepts.
  • Support cash handling procedures, including till reconciliation, processing returns, and applying discounts with managerial approval.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for opening and closing the store.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in sales and merchandising, preferably in retail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred knowledge in action sports, golfing, running/training, and a passion for outdoor activities.
  • Proficient in operating POS systems (Shopify).
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to engage customers and build lasting relationships.
  • Creative and adaptable team player with a positive attitude.
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds and navigate ladders or stairs.
