Evening Support Specialist - Youth Quest

This role primarily involves late evening and weekend shifts.

As an Evening Support Specialist at Intercept Health's YouthQuest, you will act as a positive role model, helping residents develop socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors. You will play a key role in creating and executing the resident transitional living plan while assisting with life skills development, transportation, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills to foster resident cooperation and resolve conflicts. Maintain appropriate relationships with residents, avoiding personal disclosures.
  • Provide transportation and accompany residents during community outings, activities, and appointments.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene practices and the upkeep of their living spaces. Support residents in meal preparation and guide them in housekeeping and laundry tasks; monitor completion of weekly chores.
  • Implement a fair and consistent behavioral management system.
  • Oversee medication administration as necessary.
  • Ensure residents adhere to curfews and document all incidents in the communication log. Collaborate with the Life Skills Coach or Program Supervisor as needed, and maintain accurate records in resident charts regarding behavior, critical incidents, and other relevant information.

Qualifications:

  • The Evening Support Specialist should possess a Bachelor's degree in human services (such as Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, etc.) or a High School diploma accompanied by at least one year of experience working with children and/or families.
