Culinary Attendant Job Summary

The Culinary Attendant is a key member of our food and beverage team, responsible for preparing and packaging popcorn for distribution to concession tents. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Popcorn Preparation: Prepare and package popcorn according to company standards to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain popcorn inventory levels, communicating with the Concessions Manager to replenish supplies as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Ensure that all popcorn is handled and stored according to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Supply Logistics: Assist with the distribution of packaged popcorn to concession tents.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Company Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures related to food preparation and packaging.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate popcorn machines and other equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with concession staff and management to address any supply or quality issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Food Preparation: Basic understanding of food preparation and packaging techniques.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and transport heavy items as needed.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage or event industry.
  • Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with popcorn preparation and packaging equipment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Health and Safety: Basic knowledge of health and safety standards related to food service.

Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour. This position typically works a 40-hour work week.
