About the Role

Campus Advantage is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the excellent condition and functionality of our properties by performing technical and mechanical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by completing assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation with the rest of the facilities team to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Maintain the physical condition of the properties according to Campus Advantage's Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, and industry standards.
  • Complete interior and exterior work orders, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall repair, painting, appliances, and make readies.
  • Perform preventative apartment maintenance and general repairs of the building's exterior and interior systems.
  • Assist with maintaining the swimming pool and spa, snow/ice removal, removing debris from the grounds, moving furniture, and unloading/storing supplies.
  • Follow procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment tools, and other items from the property's facilities team by tracking inventory used, returning unused items to the established location, and notifying the Facilities Supervisor about re-ordering needs.
  • Assist in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways, and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
  • Complete documentation and other paperwork in a timely, accurate, and complete fashion so that service requests can be appropriately documented and tracked.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred; experience in the student housing/multifamily industry highly preferred.
  • HVAC, including EPA certification preferred.
