Position Overview:
The Finance Business Analyst is integral to the Financial Operations division, engaging in various accounting tasks and initiatives.

This role embodies Civista Bank's commitment to enhancing the financial well-being of our team members and stakeholders, thereby positively impacting the communities we serve.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze data related to the efficiency and effectiveness of internal organizational processes.
  • Conduct regular business analysis utilizing diverse databases and reporting tools.
  • Generate ad hoc reports and data as needed.
  • Assist the Accounting team with various tasks.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal departments to collect or clarify financial information and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned that align with key responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Two to three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on accurate data entry. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, are essential.
  • Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI is advantageous.
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • High level of confidentiality is required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with varying deadlines.

Physical Demands:


This role may involve prolonged use of computer screens, reading reports, and working with spreadsheets, which can lead to eye strain. It requires the ability to focus amidst potentially distracting conditions. The position may also involve lifting files weighing up to 15 lbs and necessitates effective communication skills, both in person and over the phone. Additionally, the role requires the ability to manipulate numbers, type, and sit for extended periods. Some travel may be required for meetings and training.
