About Bronx Arts: Bronx Charter School for the Arts (Bronx Arts) is a public institution serving grades K-8, dedicated to fostering a comprehensive educational experience through the arts. Role Responsibilities
  • Design and implement captivating lessons tailored to your subject area.
  • Employ age-appropriate and challenging curricula that align with Bronx Arts' educational benchmarks and New York State standards.
  • Adapt instruction for small groups, particularly for students with special needs, and provide targeted support for those requiring additional academic assistance.
  • Utilize various assessment tools to enhance curricula and instructional strategies.
  • Foster effective communication and build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through collaborative meetings, coaching sessions, reflective practices, and participation in an annual summer institute.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support the holistic development—social, emotional, and cognitive—of adolescent learners.
  • Adhere to and promote the policies and culture of Bronx Arts.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional classroom management skills with high expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
  • A data-driven educator committed to using analysis and assessments to inform instructional practices and accountability.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area.
  • Current NYS teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the respective discipline.
Compensation and Benefits
