About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts Educator to join our team. As a Middle School English Language Arts Educator, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom culture where all students love to learn. You will differentiate English Language Arts instruction to meet learners' needs, prepare students to be college and career ready, and drive academic outcomes for all students.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom culture where all students love to learn
  • Differentiate English Language Arts instruction to meet learners' needs
  • Prepare students to be college and career ready as measured by the NYS exam
  • Develop, modify, and implement curriculum and assessments for students with diverse learning needs
  • Drive academic outcomes for all students by analyzing data, differentiating instruction, and supporting each learner's unique needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement an effective curriculum
  • Inspire students and fellow staff to perform at their highest potential
  • Develop and maintain strong and professional relationships with WHIN families
  • Uphold all school policies within the classroom
  • Participate in all school functions outside of school hours
  • Participate in all school/parent meetings
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of all school-wide events
  • Receive and implement feedback from school leaders and other staff
  • Participate with enthusiasm in all school-wide professional development
Qualifications
  • Urban elementary teaching experience
  • NYS or equivalent Education Teaching Certification with coursework in English Language Arts education
  • Demonstrated success raising achievement levels of all students
  • An unwavering belief that all students can achieve at a high level

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits, a fun and professional working environment, and ongoing development opportunities. Compensation and benefits range from $62,000 to $100,000 based on experience.
