We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Summer House on the Lake, a California-inspired restaurant located in Disney Springs. Our restaurant offers a unique dining experience with three outdoor patios and a focus on seasonal ingredients.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Pastry Sous Chef with 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry production, inventory management, and team leadership. As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry line, leading the preparation and presentation of baked goods, and ensuring effective kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the pastry line and inventory, ensuring adequate levels of food and supplies.
  • Lead the preparation, production, and presentation of baked goods, pastries, and desserts.
  • Run BOH shifts, ensuring effective and efficient operations, including food prep and cooking.
  • Partner with GM and management team to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH employees.
  • Model and promote teamwork across all teams.
  • Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors, and employees.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of pastry chef experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant.
  • Ability to lead and manage the kitchen staff.
