Job Title: Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

At Jackson Recovery Centers, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing experiential therapy programs for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement group experiential therapy programming under direct clinical supervision.
  • Complete documentation in client records within prescribed time frames.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary clinical staffing and contribute to client treatment plans.
  • Provide leadership in planning and implementing recovery enhancement and recreational activities.
  • Conduct staff education and training on the role of experiential therapies.
  • Attend mandated facility training.
  • Provide courteous and high-quality service to employees, representatives of outside agencies, and members of the public.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Art Therapy, or other related therapies.
  • Holds CTRS (preferred) or obtain within 2 years or has another approved recognized discipline-specific credential.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in experiential therapies and/or behavioral health settings (preferred).
