Financial Planning and Analysis Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis professional to join our team at Colorado Barricade Co. in Denver, CO. As a key member of our Accounting and Finance team, you will play a critical role in assisting with planning, forecasting, and analyzing financial results for multiple companies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and monitor current and past trends in financial results and key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, inventory, operating metrics, and capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operational dashboards, and other modeling tools.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly financial reports.
  • Calculate return on investment (ROI) for capital expenditures, new product offerings, and new locations.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
  • Support the Accounting team during month-end close.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Support senior management with management discussion and analysis, including preparation of Board presentations.
  • Assist with financial due diligence of acquisitions.
  • Prepare presentations for the management team.
Requirements:
  • Proven work experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or a similar role.
  • Experience using data analytics software.
  • Ability to learn quickly, problem-solve, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as other financial software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain supportive relationships with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative, successfully handling, and prioritizing multiple competing assignments and hitting deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and look for alternative solutions to problems.
Working Environment:

This is an office-based role that involves sitting for extended periods while working at a computer terminal. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple marketing projects under strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced culture with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a multi-company, multi-location environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently.
