**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Fitness Center Attendant to join our team at Garden Communities. As a Fitness Center Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the smooth operation of our fitness facilities, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and guests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide excellent customer service and check-in guests to the fitness center, lap pool, and tanning bed.
- Open and close the fitness facility as scheduled, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
- Offer assistance to residents and visitors in understanding the use of fitness equipment.
- Supervise the proper use and storage of fitness equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Enforce gym rules and regulations, including requiring towels and enforcing no outside training policies.
- Collaborate with group instructors and assist residents with signing in or signing up for group classes.
- Report cleanliness and janitorial issues to management staff immediately.
- Assist in maintaining audio equipment and ensuring an enjoyable music experience for our residents and guests.
- Wear provided uniform and maintain a strong presence throughout the shift.
- Provide vacation and time-off coverage of the facility as needed.
**Requirements:**
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in the fitness or customer service industry.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, squat, open doors, and climb/descend stairs.
**Working Conditions:**
- Must be able to work independently with little or only general supervision.
- Ability to plan, budget, schedule staff and resources effectively and efficiently.
- Treats others with respect and shows sensitivity to and respect for cultural differences.
- Maintains confidentiality and discretion with regard to sensitive proprietary and confidential information.
