Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Member Service Representative to join our team at Iowa Credit. As a Member Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional member experiences by serving as a trusted financial partner to our members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, loan payments, and shared branching transactions.
  • Examine checks for endorsements and verify other information, such as dates, bank/credit union names, identification of the members/persons receiving payments, and the legality of the documents.
  • Process transactions, such as term share deposits, retirement savings plan contributions/withdrawals, wire requests, and night deposits.
  • Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using a currency-counting machine, to prepare them for deposit or shipment to the Federal Home Loan Bank.
  • Redeem savings bonds.
  • Process member check orders.
  • Perform account maintenance for members who want to change their credit union products and services.
  • Open and close accounts and sub-accounts as requested by the members.
  • Record all transactions correctly and in compliance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Balance cash and check transactions at the closing of each day.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate cash levels and sound cash controls and procedures for the cash recycler and vault.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Credit Unions products and services to efficiently cross-sell to the membership.
  • Provide support to team members in resolving problems and member complaints in a timely manner.
  • Remain calm, composed, tactful, and respectful even in demanding situations.
  • Consistently project a motivated and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate dependability, honesty, promptness, and commitment to excellence.
  • Demonstrate a high-level of interpersonal skills by relating well to others.
  • Display tact and diplomacy, showing respect toward others opinions, and reflecting a team player approach.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Strong math and logic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem solver -ability to resolve and assist member complaints as they occur.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations.
