We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Member Service Representative to join our team at GreenState Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their financial needs are met, and promoting our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality member service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Build member relationships by recognizing their financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
- Participate in opening and closing procedures, ensuring the MSR area is organized and all equipment is turned off.
- Monitor and manage the vault, including cash disbursements, balancing, and end-of-day lock-up.
- Assist in security procedures, including access to and accountability for office keys and combinations.
- Balance, maintain, and correct the coin machine and cash recyclers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; cash handling, sales, and customer service experience desired.
- Interpersonal skills to represent the Credit Union in a positive way.
- Thorough knowledge of deposit products and regulations.
- Accuracy in handling cash, recording daily transactions, and attention to detail.
- Good telephone manners and techniques.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment.
- Member account problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as a cohesive team.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The Member Service Representative will be required to work Monday through Friday from 8:45 am - 5:45 pm, plus 3 out of 4 Saturdays from 9:00 am - Noon.
