Position Overview

The IT Support Technician II is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and technical support to our team members and enterprise initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate standard configurations for PCs, laptops, and handheld devices, along with their respective hardware.
  • Install, set up, and troubleshoot various computing devices and their software.
  • Assess and apply security patches for end-user devices in accordance with established policies.
  • Utilize and maintain the enterprise ticketing system to document tasks and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
  • Conduct level 1 and 2 analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues for a diverse user base.
  • Manage incidents through help desk notifications and tracking systems.
  • Facilitate all requested modifications for users.
  • Address user inquiries via email, phone, and in-person communications.
  • Act as a liaison for the Global Help Desk, coordinating with various teams to meet business requirements.
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT assets at the local site.
  • Participate in team collaboration and knowledge sharing, including the creation of knowledge base articles.
  • Ensure the completion of IT onboarding tasks for new hires.
  • Provide on-call support during off-hours and weekends on a rotational basis.
  • Deliver onsite support to secondary locations as needed.
  • Assist in the technical implementation of hardware and software solutions.
  • Monitor global systems and respond to alerts using monitoring technologies.
  • Support the IT infrastructure that enables operational technology.
  • Represent IT in projects related to operational technology.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in desktop support.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Windows endpoints.
  • 1+ years of experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with technical manuals and procedural documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
  • Awareness of current technological trends in the industry.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
Preferred:
  • Associate degree in a computer science-related field.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, presentation, and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.
