The Position

We are seeking a Dedicated Aide to join our team of dedicated educators. As a Dedicated Aide, you will provide direct support to students, both inside and outside the classroom, and assist with daily tasks such as classwork, assignments, and personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support: Provide direct support to assigned students, implement strategies outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with classroom teachers and other educational professionals to develop and implement instructional plans, communicate regularly with teachers and team members, and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Behavioral Support: Implement behavior management strategies, provide positive reinforcement and encouragement, and work with teachers and behavioral specialists to develop and implement behavior intervention plans.
  • Documentation & Family Engagement: Maintain accurate records of student progress, prepare written reports and updates, and connect with families on a regular basis.
  • Assistance with Classroom Activities: Assist teachers with classroom activities, provide one-on-one or small group instruction, and support students during assessments and evaluations.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate's/Bachelor's Degree Strongly Preferred
  • Experience working with students in disadvantaged communities and students with disabilities preferred
  • Working knowledge of behavior support strategies
